The Core Design Summer Ball Game!

For Core Design's "12 PLUS 1" Anniversary, the entire design team, kids and families celebrated the evening at the Kane County Cougars (Cubs Minor League) Ballgame.

It has been a soggy month, and an even soggier week, but the skies parted just long enough for us to get in a humid, but fun evening of friends, family, food, & fireworks!

Warner Brothers Interactive e3 Booth - 100'x150' Island Exhibit - THE VIP EXPERENCE

In addition to a jaw-dropping e3 presence, Warner Brothers Interactive needed their space to have an amazing VIP lounge that felt cool and exclusive with a controlled entrance.

The VIP entrance needed to strike a balance of controlled exclusivity. It needed to be easy to locate but not distracted by the audio visual aspects of the front of the exhibit.

From the Check-In area, VIP members of the Press were kept on the main level, and brought back to individual "Demo Rooms" per title, located underneath the large double deck structure.

VIP Executive and Sales members were escorted to the exclusive 2nd floor Hospitality Lounge and Conference Center. This level provided private and casual seating areas, and an open "atrium" environment that looked down into the Demo Rooms below. Designed by Core Design Group in partnership with FG|PG.

Warner Brothers Interactive e3 Booth - 100'x150' Island Exhibit - DYNAMIC A/V

Warner Brothers Interactive wanted a stunning design to showcase their latest games at e3 2014 in a way that would generate buzz and a social media "selfie" worthy environment.

Part of the Core Design Group concept, included the use of theatrical lighting, projection mapping and evolving video & audio elements that changed the entire exhibit space, based on the game being featured. Below are 7 different lighting scenes.

The amazing ribbon LED's in conjunction with the large format video allow WB to dynamically change the look and mood of the booth. I order to show WB our idea color variations were developed to illustrate concept. Designed by Core Design Group in partnership with FG|PG.

Warner Brothers Interactive e3 Booth - 100'x150' Island Exhibit - ROUGH CONCEPT

The design process began with an exploration of two rough b&w "white study" concepts. Based on the desired audio visual impact, two different architectural and traffic flow solutions were explored.

Both Concepts were created for not only visual impact, but the "gathering space" qualities, that encouraged attendees to linger and watch game trailers. To accomplish this, both concepts incorporated a large hospitality double-deck structure to locate the large quantity of conference rooms up off the show floor, there-by creating the necessary floor space. In addition, a key component of the Core Designs were a dramatic "reveal" for attendees to enter the large 80 person theaters.

The first concept was a curving, dynamic branding shell that loosely played off the three bands in the "W" as projection mapping opportunities.

The second concept was a bold rectilinear concept that combined projection mapping on fabric along with large LED structures. Designed by Core Design Group in partnership with FG|PG.

Warner Brothers Interactive e3 Booth - 100'x150' Island Exhibit -FINAL DESIGN

For e3 2014, Warner Brothers Interactive wanted a stunning booth to showcase their latest game titles. They were looking for an immerse "show-stopper" design with a jaw-dropping audio visual presence, even by e3 standards.

The concept was part of a larger objective for the show to provide not only a huge impact on attendees, but TWO full-blown 80 person theaters and a world-class VIP hospitality experience.

Up front, WB wanted a gathering space for attendees to spend time and linger, while watching large video trailer presentations. These needed to coordinate with the organized yet dramatic entrance to the closed door theaters.

The entire concept comes to life with amazing LED Ribbon's in conjunction with the large format video allow WB to dynamically change the look and mood of the booth. Designed by Core Design Group in partnership with FG|PG.
