Design Tip #43: "A picture says a 1,000 words"

Because one client’s “contemporary” is another clients boring, ask your clients to share their likes and dislikes visually. This exercise will not only engage their input but it helps narrow down the style they are after. Ask them to send you pictures they have taken of design they like and dislike or provide your stock “inspiration studies” for them to review. This visual insight is invaluable to the process when developing a new design.
